It’s a piece composed about the valiant courage, boldness and initiative of Esther as she goes into the king’s throne room, uninvited, to attempt to stop the genocide about to engulf her people.
She took an unacceptable place of initiation, leadership, influence and acted as a protecter for her people within a male dominate, patriarchal culture.
This free style poem is an open letter to abuse survivors. Please know that here you are taken seriously. You are loved and valued. You are believed. Maybe we can find community together in the healing.

Because of all of this, in our marriage, we lead. We are both in charge. Together. Because we are one. No hierarchy. Just happy service, willing deference and passionate love. Jesus is our leader and the Holy Spirit, our guide.
