One of our goals at The Courage Conference is not just to speak to you but also to help you connect with other survivors, advocates, and supportive church leaders so you can speak with them.

This year we have intentionally created space to give you the opportunity to connect through our strategic mealtime breaks.

In the conference schedule, we take a break from keynotes and workshops to enjoy dinner on Friday and lunch on Saturday.

We encourage guests to meet a new friend or two and explore the delicious food options within walking distance of the venue together. We believe real, lasting connections happen over shared meals so we want to provide that opportunity for you.

We will have restaurant suggestion cards at the event but here is a sampling of the charming downtown Raleigh food choices you will have to pick from. I believe every budget and taste preference will find something on this list.

Local Restaurants

Carroll's Kitchen (takeout, outdoor eating)

Raleigh Raw (juice bar, smoothies, and poke bowls)

Capital Club 16 (traditional American food)

Chucks (burgers and milkshakes)

Beasley's (chicken and waffles)

Raleigh Times (great food and bar)

Bida Manda (Laotian restaurant)

Brewery Bhavana (voted top 10 best new restaurant in the country by Bon Appetit Magazine)

Less Expensive Options:

Vic's Italian

El Rodeo (Mexican)

Marbles Kids Museum Cafe (quick and easy)

At The Courage Conference, you will rub elbows with all types of people and you are sure to find a new friend or two but if you want to begin connecting ahead of time try our facebook meetup group!

Bon Appetit!
